Nganasan language - one of the Samoyedic languages. Spoken in the Taimyr Peninsula. The northernmost indigenous language in Eurasia. The number of the Nganasans in Russia is 1,3 thousand. 83,4 % of them regard Nganasan as their mother tongue, 15,3 % Russian. Avam and Vadeyev dialects. A Nganasan alphabet based on the Cyrillic script was created in the 1980's - early 1990's.
